Washing Instructions

To ensure the longevity and performance of your Leon Paul garments. Fencing garments are subjected to frequent wear and tear and require regular washing, so we recommend following these washing instructions:

1. Pre-Treatment

Before washing your fencing equipment, it is important to remove any excess dirt or debris by brushing or shaking the garment. Another great tip is to fasten all zips and velcro before washing, as it helps prevent any potential damage to the fabric and ensure a more thorough cleaning.

2. Machine Washing

We recommend washing your fencing equipment in a washing machine using cold water and using a natural soap powder, very mild detergent, or a color-fast washing powder. Avoid using products bleach, whiteners or fabric softeners, as they can damage the fabric and can leave a residue on the fabric and diminish its protective qualities.

3. Drying

After washing, we recommend air-drying your fencing garments by hanging it up or lay the garments flat in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid using a dryer, as the heat can damage the fabric and cause shrinkage.

4. Ironing

Avoid using a hot iron or steamers, as this can damage the fabric and cause melting or scorching.

5. Storage

When storing your garments, make sure it is clean and dry to prevent mold or mildew growth. We recommend storing your garments in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
