Specific Products -
Blades – Fencing blades are considered consumable items. We will only replace broken blades if you can provide evidence of a manufacturing defect. Please note that bending a blade in the wrong direction or beyond 90 degrees is considered misuse, can cause a permanent kink and is not covered by our warranty.
Shoes – when considering the return of a pair of shoes, please be aware that many fencing shoes are designed to protect against damage that can occur when a fencer over lunges and rolls the foot, causing the side or upper surface of the shoe to slide across the floor. These protective areas are intended to minimize damage from occasional accidental overextended lunges. However, repeated overextended lunges where the side or top of the shoe is dragged along the floor will cause damage to the show that is not covered by the warranty.
Bags - When considering the return of a bag, we strongly recommend taking precautions to prevent damage caused by airport baggage handlers during transit. The optimal method is to detach the top bag and securely store it inside the main compartment, which conveniently fits within the smaller weapon compartment. If the top bag cannot fit inside the main compartment after loading, it is likely that the bag has exceeded its maximum weight limit. In such cases, we advise treating it as two separate bags to avoid potential transit damage. Please be aware that Leon Paul cannot be held responsible for any damage resulting from mishandling by airport personnel. In the event that your bag is broken during transit by an airline, we kindly ask you to file a claim with your travel insurance or directly with the airline.
Lightweight Lame Jackets – While our lightweight lame jackets are machine washable, it is crucial to avoid using bleach, as it can oxidise the silver and prevent conductivity. Most modern washing powders contain bleach to maintain whiteness, so we recommend washing the lame without soap powder on a cold cycle. If your lame becomes non-conductive or develops high resistance, our extensive testing indicates that this may be due to washing with bleach. Leon Paul cannot be held responsible for damage caused by improper care of garment.
